🎉🎊🎈First-grade students had a hands-on learning experience with Emily Bustamante from the Okanogan Conservation District, exploring the power of water and the ways humans and animals adapt to their environments. Using a stream table, students discovered how rivers flow, how beavers build dams, and how people manage water to protect communities. Their challenge was to divert a river and construct a dam to save a house from flooding—putting their problem-solving skills to the test in a fun and interactive way!
