About Us

Located at the confluence of the Okanogan and Columbia Rivers, Brewster is a unique oasis in semi-arid country. Originally, this site served as a key navigation junction for river transport. While Charles Ballard first platted the town as Swansea in 1892, development was delayed by the 1893 depression. In 1896, a steamboat company purchased land from the original homesteader, John Bruster, and established a new landing. By 1898, a post office was opened, and the town was named Brewster—an altered version of Bruster’s name. Today, Brewster is known for its welcoming blend of history and natural beauty.

Nestled in the historic town of Brewster, our schools are more than just classrooms—they are vibrant centers of learning, growth, and community.
