Counseling Resources and Information
School Counseling
A school counselor supports students' academic, emotional, and social development. They provide guidance on academic planning, such as course selection and college or career readiness, and offer resources to help students overcome personal challenges. Counselors also facilitate individual and group counseling sessions to address issues like stress, peer relationships, and behavioral concerns. Additionally, they collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a supportive school environment, and may intervene in crisis situations or connect students with outside resources for further assistance.
