TK-5th Grade Principal;

Dear Brewster Community,

My name is Tram Hiltz and I am delighted to introduce myself in a new role as the TK-5 principal at Brewster elementary school. This year will be my tenth year working at the school district and I have come to find that each year my love and appreciation for the community grows more and more. When I moved to the area, the first thing that struck me is how genuinely welcoming the community is, and this remains true. To that, I am blessed and lucky to call this another home.

I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada and after meeting my husband I decided to make an adventurous move to Pateros where my husband grew up. We are blessed with 3 golden kids. My family and I love everything outdoors. We have recently taken on a new interest of growing food from home and it has been especially fun learning alongside our kids.

I am credentialed in Early Childhood Education and started my career as an ECE teacher teaching preschool and kindergarten. Since then, I got my Bachelor’s in Education, Masters in Curriculum and Instruction and then recently went back to get credentialed in Administration. During my time at Brewster, I taught 3rd and 5th grade, supported teachers as an instructional coach and most recently as a TK-2 principal.

I am eager to continue growing, serving and learning more about our community, meeting more families, and working together about how to best serve our kids. Your input is very important to me. I am looking forward to the new school year!
